It's a new Post!! You must be excited

I am just writing a post to let everyone know that there is nothing super duperly exciting going on right now. Hmmm... Let me think of anything interesting.
  • I have decided to go against the majority. My New Year's resolution is to GAIN WEIGHT! No, I am not pregnant (not even a little). I have just decided to do what comes naturally and that would be eat. Usually any resolutions would not stick, but I see some real promise in this new one of mine.

  • My Super Amazing father has been let go. Apparently they call it RIFed (Reduction in Force) I don't care what you call it. It stinks. Like super stinks. Normally I would have to try to stop myself from eating my sorrows away, but luckily with my New New Year's resolution it encourages me to eat. So Here's a dozen cupcakes for you Dad, I love you!

  • Kelly turned 7. That will be a whole post by itself after her Super Fabulous Birthday Party.

  • Adam only has 3.5 months until he Graduates. Time seems to be flying by. A year ago I remember helping my friend look at houses. Now next week I get to go out to St. Louis and look at a particular house.

  • I have decided that God created the Winter season to test our patience. He was thinking "Jennifer, let me lock you in a house with your 4 beautiful monsters and make it too cold to go outside, if you still have your sanity when the Sun comes out, then you will be the CHAMPION of the WORLD!" The only problem with this idea is the assumption that I had my sanity going into this journey of Motherhood.

  • I do remain sain with the help of my weekly "Book Club". Actually, I am lying right now. It isn't a book club.... It is a "Bachelor Club" every Monday at 8pm we watch the show together. We discuss the Women, the weather, the ultimate plot of the show. It kinda seems like a book club, and it makes us sound smarter if we call it a book club.

Also everyone is invited to our Monday night extravaganzas. We have ample seating and the more the merrier.

So I'm hoping everything is going well for all of my friends. It seems to be like a slow time of year for the blogging world... or maybe just for me. Well maybe next monday I will take pictures of my Book Club and post them.

Lazy

Today I am being lazy. I have dishes in the sink, food on the floor, laundry to fold, laundry to start, TONS of toys to clean up, and absolutely no desire to do any of it.

On a happier note. We have a NEW TOILET upstairs!!! Yeah for us!!

On a not happy note. Preston put something down our old toilet, and Mr. Fix-it (Adam) broke the toilet, which is why we needed a new toilet in the first place.
Do not worry though, Mr. Fix-it AND the baby survived (barely).

So yesterday I did alot of cleaning with pinesol and bleach. AND I still had time to watch the Bachelor, now that was a productive day!

Santa's Baby Pictures

Paige Monster just walked by the computer while I was looking at my friend's blog. She saw this picture and got really excited.

She said, "Mom, that is a picture of Santa as a baby!"

Then she went to go get Tommy to show him Santa's baby picture.

My kids might be super cute, but they might be one ornament short of a Christmas tree.

(or just Santa's biggest fans)

Paige's Birthday over 2 months Late

I FINALLY ADDED PICTURES.
So I know that this makes me the worst mom ever, but don't think I don't love the girl. Her birthday was fabulous of course. Nonnie and Poppy made the journey across the state of Missouri to see their sweet little girl.

This year Paige Monster decided she wanted her first all girl princess party. It was fabulous. She had all the neighborhood girls over and they all practiced their high pitch annoyingly loud and shrieky scream. I would say lets DANCE!! Then they would all jump up and down and start screaming. Then I would start laughing, they would respond by screaming more. My mother would start laughing, then they would scream more.

I kept worrying about my poor neighbors. Not the Barnharts, (their kids were at the party, so I knew they knew what was going on) it was the sweet couple with no children on the other side. They probably thought I was some sort of child abuser, corralling children in my basement making them sew clothes to sell on ebay.
After we danced, we did a pinata, then we did more screaming, then we played pass the crown, then they screamed more, then they ate and screamed (are we starting to see a pattern). So it was fantastic. My sweet daughter had a fabulous time and all of the children left filled with candy and cake. You can't get better than that for a 5 year old's birthday party.

Believe it or not this is a smaller crowd than last year. 2007's Party was out of control, so we made it a girl only party this year. It was much better this way. It also helped that I didn't have a 10 day old baby, and recovering from a c-section.

Let's not EVER do that again. This year was nice (besides the loud pitch screaming from little girls)
Paige is probably my most thoughtful child. (As in her wheels are always turning) I'm sure when I said make a wish, she thought long and hard about what that wish would be. In fact if it doesn't happen I'm sure she will tell me that wishes don't work, and she's not going to try it again. The things that Paige wanted this year for her birthday were all "Diamond Castle Barbie Princess" So we went with it. I got her Diamond Castle Barbie, and the dress, and Melanie got her the DVD. She was in DCB Heaven. At our house the kids get to open a couple of presents the morning of their birthday. Oh they look sweet and innocent don't they... I can't believe she is 5. I took her to her well check/immuniztion appointment. She was SO excited to get shots. She told everyone that would listen, that she was going to the doctor to get 4 shots, and that they were going to give her a bandaid.

Here is the cake. It looks prettier in the dark, I promise.

Sorry I'm away from my desk right now...

Just so you know, I have not forgotten about you, my faithful followers of my blog (all 7 of you).

Right now I am in "Heaven". I have had an amazing Christmas and New Years, with and have been smooshed with as much love and presents as I can stand. (also snotty noses, fevers, coughs, chills, fighting, laughing, crying, tickling, whining, parties, cartwheels... you name it)

My kids are out of school till Jan. 5th. When they go back, I expect that I will do all the proper updates then.

  • Christmas
  • Anniversary
  • New Years
  • Sicknesses
  • blah blah blah
  • rants
  • blessings

Basically it will be back to our regularly scheduled program.
But for now I am enjoying having my Monsters loving the heck out of me.
