Colds, parental visits, and yodeling

The title makes my post sound more interesting then it actually is. I have a cold. I cruddy one. My face feels like one GIANT pimple that is going to burst. (Basically a lot of pressure) I am still on the "getting worse" end of it and not the "maybe the world isn't coming to an end" part. Hopefully soon my cold will return to Alaska and all will be right in the world. Until then, I apoligize for the negative attitude.

The monsters didn't have school Monday or Tuesday. With my "visitor" the cold, that would have been a not good thing. Extra children around when you can't breathe through your nose is not really a happy thought for me. BUT I had VISITORS!!! YEAH for me!

My father had President's day off (Well and all the other days still, because he is still job hunting) So they decided to come and visit for a couple days. They got in Sunday night, and mom came right on in with a casserole. She drove across the state of Missouri with a casserole just for my family. (She's fabulous, I already know this.)

They left me on Tuesday afternoon, and we were all so sad to see them leave. (especially since I can't breathe through my nose.)

I've decided that maybe I could yodel. This has nothing to do with anything, but really I think my voice changes pitch (if that's the right word for what my voice does) alot so maybe yodeling would be for me. Or there is always pig calling. I know that you need a lot of "vocal range" for that one too... Just something for me to look into.

I have a cold too - AGAIN! I get one every time I sub in primary, which has been happening a lot lately. I need to take some airborne or something before I sub again this Sunday. It's getting a bit ridiculous.

I hope we feel better soon!

You really have a way with words. Good luck with the yodeling idea.

I think that the yodeling and pig calling actually require a lot of pitch control. Well, to be good at it. You can have a lot of fun with it if you are bad at it too.

Hey Jen, We had a great time, I felt honored to watch "the Bachelor" with all your friends. Next time, more watching, less talking:) See you soon.

Our babies were so much fun.I love to watch them play at the kitchen table. Life is good:)

My plan is not to have St. Patrick's Day off but we shall see.
Yodeling is a good barometer of whether or not you're over your cold. Once you're no longer able to yodel, you're well. Also, if you can still yodel, that means that you shouldn't sing with the congregation. If you can yodel when you're well you are excluded from this rule.
Thanks for one of my favorite foods (Chinese). Also thank you for the stuff we hauled back from KC and I'm not talking about Adams golf clubs.
Love, Dad (Poppy)

I have a cold, too, and I'm horribly jealous of the casserole & other people taking care of the children. And I like the imagry of the huge zit ready to pop; my head feels that way, too. Anyway, I hope you get better soon, because then you can practice on the yodeling. I really want to see you yodeling.
