Before Noon...

Today I had one of those mornings. 5 years ago a morning like I had today would of had me selling my children online (either separately or in a buy one get one free sort of deal)

My morning:

Tommy comes down with his full of pee pull-up. He went into the potty and I asked him to put his pull up by the front door. He THREW it across the room which actually wouldn't have been a problem except that I bought DEFECTIVE pulllups. All of the insides went flying all over my carpet, I mean everywhere. I had a PEE carpet.

A couple hours later Tommy comes running up the stairs and into the potty. 2 minutes later he comes out and says "Sorry Mommy" I assumed that he had wet his pull-up and I put him in timeout and gave him another pull-up.

Then I went to get Preston a sippy cup ,he starts walking to the living room with his full sippy and drops in on my living room carpet, which wouldn't be a problem except the lid pops off and I have a WHOLE cup of milk soaking into my floor. I start cleaning it up and then suddenly have to go to the bathroom REALLY bad. I RUN into the bathroom and slip and fall in a huge puddle of PEE!!!

Apparently Tommy didn't wet his pull-up (it was sitting there dry) He just couldn't get to the potty AT ALL.

I've calmed down since. I am doing much better now. There was more that happened but this was the worst part. Luckily Adam got home a short time later so that I could go to Paige's Valentine's party. When I got back from her party he had used our neat Carpet cleaner on the living room, so hopefully it will be milk and pee free for a day or so.

You are supposed to bring a favorite snack to the class. We will not make it, so you can have my share....just helping you keep your resolution for gaining weight. Sorry we missed you last week.

Good point, Kara. But we still hate days like this.

You know, I have to say that a good percentage of my motherhood stories tend to involve pee, poop, spit-up, snot and vomit.

I am no fun to talk to at parties.

I long for the day when we will have wood floors, potty-trained kids, and no more spills. Maybe that will never happen, but I can think it will.

Thanks for the laugh Jen. Sounds like you have a lot of liquid in your life.

Are you sure we can't get new carpet?

Just kidding. I'm sorry your day was so lame and so full off pee.
