Memory Lane (Totally Cheesy, but come on)

I've seen this everywhere now, and I'm finally going to SUCK IT UP and post it. Now for all of you stalkers out there (Yes you...) I expect you to participate as well. If not I will threaten to make my blog private just so you can't read it... And don't think that I won't!
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember! (Except about smelly feet. Please don't mention smelly feet) 2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

YW Camp. 2007. First time i actually met you, though i'd heard about you before that (your reputation preceeded you, i guess!) (Something about crafts being so good we would pee our pants.....) Anyway, this is the memory that i am gonna put here for all to read!

I don't have a blog so you can't get me back. One of my most memorable memories is your wedding day. Your friends may not know that your fall in the grass last month wasn't your first. No, our sweet Jen in all her glory, fell in her wedding dress in the hotel before our wedding lunch that followed their beautiful temple marriage. It was pretty funny, but, luckily, she wasn't hurt.

I just remember having you and Adam over for dinner at my mom's home in Payson. Meg didn't warn us about your "contagious" laugh. I seriously thought something was lodged in your throat when you laughed. It still makes me smile just thinking about it. Your laugh is hilarious and makes others laugh.

Kelli: So did you pee your pants or what!

Gram: Thanks for not mentioning the fall I took in the sealing room. I'm glad Mike and Pat were there to catch me!

Chelsea: you made your blog private. So we are fighting right now. Add me to your list of fans. Here is my email: jennwehr at yahoo dot com.

Aaron, I loved both of those! Who would have guessed We'd both have a love for boxes, most would find us strange. And Prom was fun. I didn't have a boring date, that's for sure.

I'll never forget your grand performance at the RS talent night. Too bad your pianist wasn't as grand...

I just remembered another one-- we were both pregnant. Kim Tustison handed me a bottle of tums in RS and you came running across the room to ask if you could have some. I think was how I first met you, actually.

So..I'm a blog stalker. I'm Margaret Bailey's sister who lives in Georgia. I think your blog is so hysterical and I think we would be friends if I still lived there.

The end.

I feel like I've just gotten to know you recently, so all my memories are really recent - do those even count AS memories?
Anyways, I shall never forget you rolling around in your chair at the ward activity at Edge gymnastics. Somehow you managed to keep people in line, literally and figuratively, whilst you rolled.
luvs, aby

Thanksgiving--Adam brought you to Montana--I don't think we ever laughed so hard through a game of dominoes. Well we laughed--you sort of tried to cough up a lung and passed it off as laughter. That and you throwing both me and my dad over your shoulder like a sack of potatoes. (not at the same time). Sorry I don't have a blog for you to reciprotaliate on but we do love reading yours--especially Tanner.

My first memories of you, Jen, are from when I was the new kid and you were the veteran of the townhouses. I was trying so hard to be so cool and you were like, way cooler than me, so I had to work extra hard to be really cool. Once you weren't pregnant with Preston anymore you decided that I was "just Ali" and you decided that I was cool. I think. I am now a fan of Chocolat, the movie, and I crave chocolate all the time whenever I think of that show- thanks to your awesome brownies.

Yes, i for sure peeed my pants over how good the crafts were. But then, you fell down and hurt your leg so badly you had to leave camp. I think i see a pattern developing here, after reading some of the other comments on this thread.....!!!!!!

I also remember you getting a make-up display case, and I couldn't for the life of me think why someone would want a makeup display case that rotated, except for potentially harvesting the plexiglass off of to make some cool water wheel or something. Oh and there was the fake corsage I told you I was going to bring.

The Wehrmeister's said...

Aaron, I have NO CLUE what you are talking about with the make up display case thingie. If you remember me AT ALL, you should remember that I didn't wear much make up when I was younger(I think). I did appreciate you splurging to get me a real corsage. You were always so thoughtful!

The Wehrmeister's said...

Nevermind Aaron, I just spoke with my mother and apparently you are right about some weird rotating makeup holder that I found somewhere. Sorry for doubting you.

Wasn't my first memory on your wedding day? because I think Adam had been home from his mission for about a week and he didn't know you before his mission....

no (ha, ha), my first memory of you is you and Adam sitting on Bonnie's couch holding hands and I thought it was totally weird; I had NEVER seen Adam with a girl before. And then of course your "laugh" which I thought was you dying. Do you still laugh like that? I haven't heard it in a while.

by the way, I saw Mamma Mia and I really didn't like it too much. I think I would enjoy your life put to song, though.

k TOTALLY girls camp! And stake dances. Whenever I hear, "Come on Eileen" I will forever think of those dances. Remember those crazy skits we did? Laughing so hard we could barely get through them? Most of all I just remember your craziness, I love how contagious you are and I miss you so!! Wish we lived closer so our kids could be crazy together.

While we met each other before either of us was wed, we didn't really get to know each other until recently (which I personally think just sucks - cause your leaving in a year).

So, my post is a memory of your kids actually.

We were watching the girls while you were in surgery and Kelli wanted Danny to play house. "First," she said, "We have to get married." Then she told Danny that he would need to take a nap before the wedding because he was going to need plenty of rest before the big event.

It was absolutely hysterical and likely a reflection of her fine upbringing.

Did you make Adam take a nap so he'd have plenty of energy?

Haha!
Love Ya!

Although it wasn't my first time meeting you, one of the first things I remember you talking about was your "MONSTER" child. Such an endearing word to use for your sweet little 2 year old, right? Who does that, anyway? :)

Memories of you...
teaching us tile crafts in my basement and having me laughing so hard the whole time
listening to your talk and showing us the pink sweatsuit you brought as part of your lesson...again, totally cracking me up.
I don't think I have one memory of you when you weren't making me laugh.
I also really appreciated how nice you were to me at Emily's shower...last spring. You asked a lot of questions about me and seemed genuinely interested. That's a great quality...genuineness..is that a word? Well, you've got it.

This has been a great post! I think you should start another blog titled "memories of Jen" and we would all enjoy reading about other people's enteractions with you. I've sure learned a lot so far! I just need some more details on some of these stories, like did you make sure Adam took a nap before your wedding night? Nevermind, I don't want to know.

The Wehrmeister's said...

To all of those wondering about Adam' nap schedule... I'm not telling. This is not THAT kind of blog. I'm a lady... Okay who am I fooling, we all know I'm not talking, because my mother-in-law reads this.

Bailey Family said...

Okay...here are two.
First, at a ward activity at the Red Barn Farm you participated in the pie eating contest (the only woman I think) and you might have won...I am not sure about that. But I thought you were very bold and brave to participate and you did not care what others thought.
Second, when you were girls camp craft lady and we would just sit around and craft and LAUGH. Then, you hurt your ankle...stupid hole and we sat and ate pizza until we were sick and laughed again.
(My sister thinks your blog is hilarious. I hope that you do not think she is weird...she is pretty normal.)

Gram said...

Jen's right - I read her blog almost daily. I burst out laughing reading the story about what Kelly said.

haha WOW where do I begin?? Wendy's, long random drives...crazy pranks...the mazda...the checkbook...dumb boys...your dancing moves...i can't believe you can do the worm...great chats. I loved knowing if I needed to get away you were willing to pick up and go. oh man there are SOOOoo many memories! I could go on and on!! I think of you and I think spontaneous and fun!

Nonnie said...

Most mothers, when their daughters would go out for the evening to dances, might say " Don't pick up any boys tonight " they might mean," don't flirt too much"

I always meant"DON'T PICK UP BOYS AND TWIRL THEM OVER YOUR HEAD !!!
Ahh,the good old days.Remember your poor knees !!!

The Wehrmeister's said...

Mom: My knees have recovered, apparently it's the wet grass that gives me problems now.

Tina: Just reading your comment makes me miss you. We have had way too much pee in your pants fun. Remember that time you sewed your bridesmaid skirt to your jeans, the night before the wedding? How about Dawson's Creek weekly showings? Have you ever eaten a birthday cake filled with bean crap? I better stop, cause this could be a blog entry all on it's own.

It's one of the first memories, but not the first. I started to hang out with you right around the time I was trying to read all of the six Harry Potters before reading the seventh. I almost told you the major thing that happened in the sixth, just assuming that everyone had already read the Harry Potter book that had come out like three years earlier. And to this day, I still can't tell you what happens in the book. You have yet to read it, and the movie is coming out in three months. Looks like you have some reading to do.

I'm sorry Jen about the private thing--I had some weirdo comments that freaked me out. But I just added you to the invites so...you better comment. I am laughing out loud right now!

The first time I invited myself over to your house. I think I was trying to find Miriam, but I had a great time just visiting with you and finding out how insane you are.

Second memory: you in the Blue Man Group at the Harmon Lip Synch, and someone nearly hitting the ceiling fan during all the acrobatics. So cool!
