I am temporarily out of service. I fractured my ankle today in several spots. I go in on Monday to determine when we should operate. I am drugged so I can't really type.
This is so not fun! I broke my ankle when Meg was a couple of weeks old and couldn't be in a walking cast. It was quite a challenge because I couldn't walk and carry a baby - and don't even talk about Christmas shopping - I had to do it in a wheelchair! Guess it was preparing me for old age! Unfortunately, you did more than break your ankle - you shattered it - you never do do things only half-way. You put your heart and soul into it all - even when it comes to breaking something! I am so sorry and wish you were in STL so I could do more than call. Take care, Sweetie. I called the Temple yesterday after talking with Adam and put your name on the prayer roll - you should be better in no time! Be sure and post a picture of your beautiful cast!
Were you trying to do a back hand-spring again? Good luck with the recovery. Just have your kids do everything for you... because that will work... uh... yeah.
I agree with the previous poster--drugged up Jen could be even MORE fun to read about than "regular" Jen:). Sorry to hear about your ankle--that's no fun, especially when you're the one who's supposed to take care of everyone else.
Um, so I miss you and I hope you feel better. Take care. A lot of care. Not like in third grade when you had appendicitis and you went to the playroom right after surgery. Not like that at all.
Didn't you do this same thing last year at camp? Like almost exactly a year ago....? I see a pattern developing...:~) Seriously, i hope you bounce back quickly and i also vote that you blog while you are drugged up! Love you lots!
Yes it was one year and 5 days ago to be exact. Same ankle too. I think it just gave up.
And yes I have help Cheryl, thanks for asking. I have been amazed at how many people have been helping me. I am normally that person that says "No, I'm fine", but I couldn't be this time, because I'm not fine. So It has been a really neat experience to let people in and help.
Thanks to everyone who is helping. I really feel loved.
Jen, i'm so sorry about your poor leg =O( Did Preston ever take any of those bottle nippels? I hope you can keep nursing him, (if thats your wish of course. lol). Girl, you've been on my mind all day! You are always someone who takes care of everyone around you, but now its your turn to be totally spoiled and taken care of!! =O) TAKE IT EASY, and remember i'm just right next door if, and when you need anything!! I'll be stopping by again sometime to kidnap your kids...since someone beat me to it today. =O)

Oh, man. Not fun. I hope you recover quickly. At least now you have a war story.

JEN, you've broken my heart. I feel so bad for you!!!
Poor Jen!
My heart and prayers go out to you.
I'm sorry you got hurt, but could you please still blog while you're drugged up? I would enjoy that.
